I have waited a day to make sure that I was accurate about my experience. We had been at a movie, and showed up mid afternoon (3:30). There appeared to be full staffing, and the restaurant was less than half full. As you enter, you get to stand by a refrigerated meat case (like you would see at a supermarket or butcher). This is very unappetizing, and adds nothing to the ambiance of the restaurant. We waited for five minutes while four separate people tried to figure out where to sit our huge party of TWO. We were finally led past 10 empty booths to a table about the size of a TV tray, wedged in between two full tables. We told the person that we would prefer to sit at a larger table or booth, and were told "this is all we've got" (reminder, we had just walked by 10 EMPTY booths). We declined and went to one of the numerous professionally run restaurants in the area that can manage to get a party or two seated comfortably in mid afternoon. Someone in management at this location needs to take a BASIC course in how to run a restaurant.

Very simple menu, decent pricing, decent burgers and good service. This is an above average 3.5 star restaurant. The menu reminds me of in-n-out...

Definitely easy to order, considering they have only a few selections. Obviously their specialty is burgers and fries. Both were good. They come back to refill your fries often, just in case you hadn't had enough. Would have given 5 stars, but after reminding us to save room for a free taste of custard our waitress never offered it again. We will be back.

A better meal option than many of the chains out there, and a burger that's as good as Five Guys. I took my meal to go so I did not experience any of the wait staff problems that seem to plague this establishment.

By far the best service I have ever seen! Staff was so friendly and met us walking into the restaurant. Helped seat and wheel my handicapped uncle into the restaurant. Such friendly people!!!

Service was excellent and the food was delicious. All you can eat homestyle fries, which the kids loved. We got there around 11 and didn't have to wait to be seated, however when we left there was a line out the door.

This location has very greasy burgers. It took 4 napkins to soak up enough grease to be able to eat the burger. Wait staff is very pleasant, but having 10 or more of them screaming across the room (while running their errand and not even looking at you) "welcome to David's" every time the door opens is a bit annoying, not to mention hurtful to ears with hearing aids. My husband does not have hearing aids and the screaming was unpleasant to him, also. It is almost like whoever can yell it first or the loudest gets a dollar. Having only the greeter at the door giving the welcome would be much more sincere. Not a pleasant eating experience.

Reminds me of 5 Guys. That's all that sticks out about this place. Decent burger and fries. The add on prices are a pain and they don't have as many choices as 5 Guys.

The menu is quite limited and if you are dealing with a non-beef eater in your group, they will not care much for the choices. If you want a very good hamburger or cheeseburger and fries there are few choices in the area that beat them. I could argue favorably for few places offering as good of a burger but not better. They had service issues after opening, in fact more than most places do when newly opened which is surprising since this is their third location after successful entries in Conway and Little Rock. Those problems seem resolved. After my last visit I noticed a couple weeks later that my card had been billed again. They resolved the issue quickly and while they could not explain for sure if it was an issue with their processor or their computers they vowed to figure it out. They asked if I had encountered any fees as a result of the overcharge (I had not) but seemed prepared to take care of them and despite my repeated protests insisted that I accept a certificate for a free lunch for my trouble. Certainly a go to place for scratching that itch for a good burger.

*Newly Opened* First off, I'm judging this location, not the original west Little Rock one. The burgers and fries are good, the establishment is much larger than that of WLR location. Draw backs of any sucessful resturant is the staff, I know they need staff to handle the influx of ppl eating here for the first time but my first visit will be my last. I counted 24 heads working the floor, but about half of them were bs'ing and not doing they're job. I had to be seated and wait approx 7 minutes for my drink order...really! They were all really young too, say around 16-20. What should have been a 25 minute sit down turned out to be over an hour! I will not be going back anytime soon, count on that!

This is a fun place. I've eaten here three times so you know I'm a fan. Good food, great service. I've had the burger (duh) all three times. They are fried and are a pretty good quality. Not too greasy. They are custom garnished with your choice of around 8 free ones and about another 8 at extra charge. My only issue (and it's a small one) is on my second visit I ordered the extra charge grilled onions. I didn't mind the extra charge so much as the fact that there wasn't more than a tablespoon of said onions. No big deal. Fries like you might cook at home come with your burger. As an appetizer of sorts are small baskets of the same fries. At times there is a big dude walking around with a huge bowl singing about the hot fries. It's definitely not a quiet place. It is fun. It's a little difficult to get to the first time but it's worth it. It's clean, well lit, you can see right into the wide open kitchen too. The waitstaff are fantastic. Can't say enough good things about them. Check it out, you will go back too! I'll see you there!

Found ourselves in Little Rock Arkansas hungry from a day of driving from Memphis. So, Siri found this place around the corner where we landed for the night. I wasn't expecting such a great burger, but wow! This place ROCKS. Simple menu. three types of burgers, a grilled cheese and a child's burger. So if you want something other than a burger, go somewhere else. But if you're in the mood for some beef-this is the right spot. They bring you a plate of fries right away to nibble on while your burger cooks. The servers are young and friendly. The service fast. The burgers were exceptionally fresh, hot, juicy and delicious. We had our with everything. Their mayo, mustard, lettuce, onions, pickles were free. We also added sauteed mushrooms, onions, cheese and bacon for nominal add-on charges. It couldn't have been more perfectly cooked. The place is cute--ike a 50's malt shop theme. The prices were very reasonable for the quality. YUM! If you get a chance to eat here, do. You won't regret it.

A buddy wanted a burger and we had just got done at Arkansas Armory so we made our way here. The restaurant has a confused image. The exterior looks like a steakhouse but has the interior of a 50's diner...not what I expected at all. Also, it serves fast food in a sit-down restaurant fashion; I didn't appreciate this. If all you serve is burgers and fries, the process should be streamlined so you don't have to waste your customer's time. I would respect the business more if it ditched the wait staff and dedicated more emphasis to the kitchen and raised their hourly wages, as oppose to having wait staff working for tips off of low-cost food. I don't appreciate feeling obligated to leave a tip for someone dropping off my meal that costs a mere $8; I can grab my order when its ready and fill my drink all by myself. No offense to the wait staff, I thought you guys did great, I just think it was poor decision to have wait staff at a fast-food place. Our waitress was awesome. She was friendly, attractive, and refilled our drinks quickly. The only thing that I didn't like was how adamant she was about letting us know how the restaurant didn't have a freezer. Good to know but the food will reflect the real quality; I don't need a briefing on the quality of food. The menu is limited but that is not exactly a bad thing as long as they make those items well. I grew up in SoCal with In-Out-Burger(if you don't know, all they serve is awesome beef burgers and fries) so I immediately didn't mind this one bit. 8-10 minutes later...(good timing) The burger was what I expected it to be, a well made greasy burger. The bun had great texture and flavor(it didn't taste like it came straight from a bag), my burger was cooked medium-well, was beautifully caramelized(golden/caramel color, crusty exterior), but melted away in my mouth. My burger had great flavor and fresh ingredients and I thought it was excellent for what it is. I also want to point out that this place does indeed have an alternative chicken option, for those who don't eat beef(although it is not on the menu as of yet). Someone posted that they didn't appreciate the lack of alternative, this is inaccurate, and any waitress will let you know. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat or a decent old-fashioned, greasy burger, David's is a great option. I honestly think this a better burger than five guys, as Five Guys' beef tends to be more on the dense side, as if it is overcooked. Pros: -Tasty, quick greasy burger -Fries made right, from fresh potatoes -Friendly staff -Open kitchen, nothing to hide Cons: -Tons of staff(there must have been 25+ staff on duty) -Loud interior -Fast food in a sit-down setting -Obligation to tip staff for tasks a drunk 16 year-old could perform

I have now been to David's Burgers twice. Once for take out and once dining in. The quality of the beef is great and fresh. The fries are about par. The menu is short and a bit expensive. The interior has a 50's diner feel which is ok but I think they could do better. Tons of staff at any given time. Seemed like employees stacked on top of employees. Overall it's a good place to grab a quality burger but I don't know that it's somewhere I would visit regularly.
